The U.S. Attorneys Office for the Southern District of Illinois reports that a Wayne County man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to one count of a seven count indictment on Child Pornography charges. 31 year old Christopher Zachman of Fairfield made the plea in exchange for the remaining counts of the indictment being dismissed. The F.B.I. arrested Zachman last year after his cellphone was confiscated during a domestic complaint and found to contain several files of child pornography that had been downloaded and shared. In addition to the prison term Zachman was ordered to pay $5000 in restitution and serve 10 years of mandatory supervised release after his sentence is over.
