The defending national champion Vincennes University Trailblazers took their first step in their title defense Monday. They rolled over Lake Land 83-63 in the quarterfinals of the District Tournament at Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois. The #9 ranked squad was led by sophomore Kevin Osawe with 26 points and sophomore Craig Porter with 20 points in the win. The 27-4 Blazers will move to the semifinals Wednesday night when they face Southwestern Illinois at 5 p.m. Central Time. Southwestern knocked off Olney Central College 82-62. In the other semifinal it will be top seeded John A Logan against Wabash Valley College.
