Units of the Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection District and the Bridgeport Fire District were dispatched to a report of smoke at a Lawrenceville residence. Firefighters were called to the Brooke Salesman home at 1106 Cedar Street where they discovered that the smoke was caused by a furnace malfunction. There was an estimated $500 in damage but no reported injuries. Firefighters cleared the residence of smoke through ventilation.
