Lawrenceville Lady Indian senior Jayley Akers was named as an Associated Press Class 2-A All-State Honorable Mention. She was one of 26 players selected as Honorable Mention and one of four Little Illini Conference players to be selected All-State. Akers was an outstanding player during her career as a Lady Indian. She finished second on the girls career scoring list at LHS and is the all time 3 point field goal leader. She averaged 19 points and almost 5 rebounds a game during her senior season. She has signed to play basketball at Indiana Univerisity (Kokomo).
