Lawrenceville Police arrested a local woman on drug offenses Monday. 33 year old Amber Rogers of Lawrenceville was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. No other arrest details were given in the report. Rogers was being held in the Lawrence County Jail pending the setting of bond. Mt Carmel Police Sunday arrested 36 year old Christopher Shaffer of Robinson on an active warrant from Lawrence County for Violation of Bail Bond. He was found to be wanted after his discovery in a vehicle traveling in Mt Carmel. Shaffer was taken to the Wabash County Jail in Mt Carmel where he was being held on a $3000 cash bond pending transfer here to Lawrence County on the warrant.
