Joe Herron, Chief Ranger of the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park in Vincennes will be the guest speaker at the upcoming meeting of the Lawrence County Historical Society. It is scheduled for Monday the 24th at 7 p.m. at the History Center in downtown Lawrenceville. Herron will speak on the creation and design of the  Clark Memorial which was dedicated by President Franklin D Roosevelt in 1936. Herron has been with the National Park Service for 20 years and at the Clark Memorial since 2015. The meeting is free and open to the public.
