The Little Illini Conference champion Casey-Westfield Warriors broke open a close game with a 14-0 run spanning the end of the third quarter into the fourth and beat the Lawrenceville Basketball Indians 55-47 Friday night at LHS. The win came despite the Indian defense holding down Warrior All-Conference performer Noah Livingston. The Indians were led by Blayne Winningham with 14 points and Noah Weger with 10. The Indian JV also lost 74-63 with Damon Zollars and Hunter Scott each notching 16 point, Zeth Underhill 11 and Leyton Ivers 10. With the loss the Indians fall to 13-12 and 4-3 in LIC play while Casey improves to 20-6 and 6-1 in the LIC. The Indians will step out of conference next Tuesday when they host Carmi-White County. It will be Senior Night.
