The move was made at their regular monthly session Tuesday night. City Superintendent Shannon Selby informed the council that a boil order is in effect till further notice for the area of the city from Olive Street west to the city limits. It was issued after a water line was struck during the boring work for a fiberoptic cable. The Council Parks Committee will hold another public meeting in mid-march as they continue to solicit ideas for the use of a planned greenspace area on Main Street in the downtown area.
