The Lawrence County Soil and Water Conservation District hosted its 75th annual meeting Thursday evening at the Central Christian Church Activity Center in Lawrenceville. Among the highlights were the naming of the individual award winners-Conservationists of the Year went to the Lewis family from the Chauncey area, Wildlife Manager of the Year to Bill Inyart from the Sumner area and the Friend of the SWCD to Greg and Zane Parrott of Parrott Real Estate/Auction/Sellafarm with offices in Lawrenceville and Newton. Guest speaker for the affair was Illinois State Conservationist Ivan Dozier based out of Champaign.
