Three people were killed in a plane crash Tuesday afternoon southeast of Springfield. Authorities say the incident occured around 3 p.m. The pilot reported trouble with the plane’s instruments prior to the crash. The plane was attempting to land at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport and missed two houses on its descent. It was traveling to Springfield from Huntsville Alabama but had originally taken off from Florida.
