Ethan Kelly hit a three point basket with 5 seconds left in the game to propel the Lawrenceville Basketball Indians to a 44-42 win over the Newton Eagles at Newton Wednesday night. The game was rescheduled from last Friday due to weather. The clutch shot led a fourth quarter comeback by the Tribe who won their second in a row. Only one Indian landed in double figures on the night-Noah Weger with 12. The Indian JV lost to the Eagles 58-45. Kelly had 13 points and Leyton Ivers 10 in that contest. The Indians are now 11-8 and 4-1 in Little Illini Conference play. They are idle till Saturday when they face #4 seeded Casey in the L.I.C. Boys Tournament quarterfinals at 4:30 at Paris. The Indians are #5 seeds.
