The Lawrenceville Lady Basketball Indians quest for the Little Illini Conference Tournament title came to an end Tuesday night. The #3 seeded Lady Indians were knocked off by #2 seed Olney 61-55 in the semi-finals at Robinson. In the first semi-final #1 seeded Paris beat #5 seeded Marshall 56-41. That sets up the championship game Thursday night at 8 p.m. with Paris facing Olney. The Lady Indians at 14-8 will play Marshall for third place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night the consolation semi-finals will be played with the 4-8 Red Hill Lady Salukis meeting Casey at 6 p.m. and Newton facing host Robinson at 7:30. The two winners will play Thursday afternoon at 5:30 for the consolation championship.
