THREE INJURED IN AREA ACCIDENT

Three people were injured in a two vehicle accident in the area late last week. Illinois State Police have completed investigation into the mishap Friday evening on Illinois Route 33 at the Bogota Road. A 2006 Dodge Caravan being driven by 15 year old Madisyn McIntosh of Oblong was heading east on 33 around 6:20 p.m. and veered across the center line and struck a 2015 Honda Civic being driven by 46 year old Liberty Nuebling of Effingham headon. Both drivers and a passenger in the McIntosh vehicle 76 year old Beverly Laino of Oblong were all hurt and taken to St Anthony Hospital in Effingham with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities did ticket McIntosh for improper lane usage.
