INDIANS ROLL OVER RIVET

The Lawrenceville Basketball Indians continue to play well. They picked up their fifth win in a row Friday night with a 58-35 non-conference win over Vincennes Rivet at LHS. The Tribe led 15-12 after one quarter, 29-21 at the half and extended the lead to 11 40-29 after three quarters before gradually pulling away in the final period as the Indian pressure defense forced numerous Patriot turnovers. Noah Weger led the 6-3 Indians with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Jordan Jones added 10. Rivet now 1-4 was led by Tre’von Taylor with 16 and Austin Finch added 12. The Indian JV also remained unbeaten on the season at 5-0 with a 54-23 win. Hunter Scott had 17 points and Brenyn Winningham 15 in that win. The Indians are now off till Thursday, the 26th when they play Oak Lawn in the Effingham-Teutopolis Christmas Tournament at 4:30 p.m.
