The National Weather Service says that a Winter Weather Advisory continues for the entire WAKO listening area in southeastern Illinois and southwestern Indiana through midnight Monday. More mixed precipitation of rain, snow, and freezing rain is forecast. Plan on slippery road conditions. Slow down and use caution when traveling during inclement weather and if you must travel, be prepared with an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of emergency. The poor road conditions caused by Sundays wintery weather did cause school in both Units 10 and 20 in Lawrence County to be cancelled and Lawrence County Senior Centers and the Lawrence Public Libary were also closed Monday.
