An area man was sent to prison this week on a child sex charge. 61 year old Keith Johnson of Dieterich was sentenced to 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after admitting to making improper advances on a girl under the age of 13 at his Dietrich residence in September of 2018. In addition to the prison term, Johnson was ordered to serve three years of mandatory supervised release after getting out of prison. He was given credit for time already served in the Effingham County Jail.
