The Bi-State Authority which governs the Mid-American Air Center northeast of Lawrenceville met at the airport Tuesday night. They were updated on two major projects. The ramp inlet project is currently being delayed by weather for about 2 weeks but is near completion. It is part of the upkeep of the airport drainage system. At the recent TIP meeting in Springfield in late October it was verbally agreed to use state funds for replacement of the approach lights at the facility. The Division of Aeronautics will be at the airport to inspect the lights and determine if the monies will be used for the project. The bid of approximately $7000 from Holmes Heating and Plumbing was accepted to provide heating for Hanger #3.
