The Knox County Area Plan Commission has approved a rezoning in the city of Bicknell that will lead to a new business there. Approval was given to rezone the former Dollar General Store location along Indiana State Road 67 at the north edge of the city from R-1 (residential) to B-1 (local business). That building had been vacant. It now clears the way for the development of a new Family Dollar Store there. The Vincennes Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a sign variance on Kimmell Road south of Hart Street. The move will allow the construction of an 80 foot single pole sign across from the location of a planned new Texas Roadhouse resteraunt in the future.
