Republicans swept all but one city race in Tuesday’s Vincennes elections. Cathy Lane was elected Clerk/Treasurer over Angela Herron to replace the retiring Sharon Duke. Incumbent Brian Grove won in City Council District 1, Ed Gornall in District 2, John Stangle in District 3 while Tim Salters and Marc McNeese won the two At-Large Council seats. Democrat incumbent Dan Ravellette won re-election over challenger Michelle James in District 4. Mayor Joe Yochum returns for a third term in office after facing no opposition in the election. The new council will be sworn in in January.
