DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME

The end of Daylight Saving time is this weekend. People will need to adjust their clocks back one hour Sunday morning at 2 a.m. or when they go to bed Saturday night. The Illinois State Fire Marshalls Office also reminds citizens to check the batteries on their smoke detectors when they change their clocks to make sure they are operational. The National Fire Protection Association says that about three out of every five fire deaths occur in homes that either did not have a smoke detector or had one that did not work.
