The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for the entire WAKO listening area across southeastern Illinois and southwestern Indiana from Thursday evening until Friday morning. The forecast is calling for sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 degrees during that period. Unprotected crops and sensitive vegetation could be killed and any outdoor plumbing could be damaged by extended temperatures in that range.
