The Lawrence Unit 20 Board of Education met Wednesday night and approved beginning the state-mandated process of forming district threat assessment teams. Those teams would be in each building in the district and have protocols to follow in case of school violence. Additional policies regarding these teams will be forthcoming from the state in the future. The board did approve a short-term substitute teacher intergovernmental agreement with the Regional Office of Education #12.
