A Clark County man was sentenced to prison Monday for the death of his girlfriend nearly five years ago. 24 year old Connor Scott was given 37 years in prison to be followed by three years of mandatory supervised release for first degree murder. He will not be eligible for early release. Scott was charged in the shooting death of Kaylyn Whittaker in October of 2014 in Martinsville. In February, he confessed to police that he was responsible for the girls death.
