Lawrenceville Police have completed investigation into a recent single vehicle accident which occured on the US 50 offramp. Reports indicate that a 2015 Jeep being driven by Terry Legg of Sumner was traveling on the offramp. Legg fell asleep at the wheel and the vehicle swerved off the roadway and hit an Illinois Department of Transportation signpost. Legg was not injured in the mishap. The jeep did suffer front end damage but was able to be driven from the scene. Authorities indicate there were no tickets involved.
