A male subject was injured after a shooting late last week in Mt Carmel in neighboring Wabash County. Both the Wabash County Sheriffs Department and Mt Carmel Police were summoned Friday afternoon to the scene of the incident in the 300 block of Chestnut Street. The man was apparently shot while driving by the location with a high powered pellet rifle. Investigation led to two juvenile suspects being taken into custody. They have since been placed into detention. The shooting victim sustained non life threatening injuries and was treated at Wabash General Hospital in Mt Carmel.
