BRAVES WIN COUNTY BASEBALL BATTLE

The Parkview Baseball Braves closed out the regular season Monday with their ninth straight win-a 13-2 5 inning victory at Unit 20 Ballpark over the Red Hill Junior High Salukis. The Braves scored their 13 runs on just 6 hits and made one error while the Salukis scored 2 runs on 5 hits and committed 5 errors. The loss snapped a four game winning streak for the Salukis. The Braves swept the season series between the county rivals and are 10-2. Red Hill falls to 4-6. The two teams meet again Wednesday in the post season. They will battle again in a first round game of the Class 2A Regional 14 tournament hosted by Casey-Westfield Wednesday at Unit 20 Ballpark with game time at 4:30 p.m. The winner will move on to semifinal play on Saturday at Casey.
