Tyler Austin hit a pinch-hit three-run homer during a five run fourth inning off Jon Lester Sunday to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to an 8-5 win over the Chicago Cubs in the finale of their four game series at Miller Park. Eric Thames also homered off Lester in the sixth as the Brewers won three of the four to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Cubs are now 4 1/2 games behind St Louis in the NL Central and only 1 1/2 games ahead of Arizona for the second NL wild card. The Brewers are within two games of the final wild card. The Cubs are in San Diego Monday night to open a four game set against the Padres. It will be Kyle Hendricks (9-9) for the Cubs against Cal Quantrill (6-6) for the Padres.
