51 year old Michael Lancaster of Mt Carmel was arrested Friday by police after he fired multiple shots through a door at the Mt Carmel Super 8 Motel. Authorities responded to the scene and discovered Lancaster outside with a loaded 9 mm handgun in his possession. He was arrested without incident. Police obtained a search warrant for his room and located ammunition and methamphetamine inside. Lancaster was taken to the Wabash County Jail in Mt Carmel and was booked in there. He was preliminarily charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
