Anthony Rendon went 4 for 5 with a solo homer and a tie-breaking single Sunday that led the Washington Nationals to a 7-5 11 inning win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field completing a sweep of the three game weekend series. Juan Soto added three hits and Stephen Strasburg struck out 10 over six innings in the victory. It was the first Nationals sweep of the Cubs since 2012. Kyle Schwarber, Addison Russell, and Victor Caratini homered for the Cubs in the loss. The Cubs fall to 2 1/2 games behind the St Louis Cardinals in the NL Central Division and have Monday off. They will be at Citi-Field in New York Tuesday to open a three game series against the Mets.
