55 year old Robert Baldwin of Vincennes was sentenced Friday to 65 years in prison for the murder of his five year old son. That sentence was handed down during a hearing in Knox Circuit Court. Baldwin had confessed to authorities that he used a pillow, a USB cable and his own body weight to smother the boy Gabriel back in April of 2017 in their Vincennes home. In June he pled guilty but mentally ill to the killing. The 65 year sentence imposed by the judge was the maximum allowed.
