The Lawrence Public Library Board of Trustees upon recommendation of it’s personnel committee approved the hiring of Jennifer Buchanon of rural Lawrenceville as the new Youth and Program Director. That position deals with the youth book and other material collections at the library and storytimes with school children at the library from September through April. Buchanon will begin her new duties next week. The Board did approve it’s tenative fiscal year budget for public display. They also moved to change insurance company coverage from Westbend to Columbia Group effective immediately.
