The Indiana State Department of Health reports that one sample of mosquitoes collected in Southwestern Indiana has tested positive for the West Nile Virus. The discovery was made in Gibson County. State health officials reminds residents in the area to limit their time outside between dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active and prevalent and get rid of any standing water near homes and on properties. Those are prime breeding ground for mosquitoes.
