J.T. Realmuto drove in the tiebreaking run with a double in the bottom of the 7th inning Tuesday night to lift the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-2 win over the Chicago Cubs in game one of their three game series at Citizens Bank Park. The winning hit came off Cub reliever Kyle Ryan who took the loss. It spoiled a solid start by Jose Quintana of the Cubs who struck out a career best 14 batters in six innings and allowed only two runs on five hits. Blake Parker picked up the win in relief and Hector Neris retired Jason Heyward to end the game with two runners on in the top of the ninth for his 21st save. Game two of the series is Wednesday night when former Phillie Cole Hamels (6-3) goes for the Cubs against Aaron Nola (10-3) for the Phillies.
