BRYANT BLAST RALLIES CUBS OVER REDS

Kris Bryant capped a four run seventh inning rally with a three run homer and the Chicago Cubs earned a split of their four game series with the Reds in Cincinnati with a 6-3 win Sunday. Ian Happ added a solo blast in the top of the eighth for insurance. The NL Central Division leaders fell behind 3-0 after five innings before coming back against the Reds bullpen. David Phelps picked up the win in relief and Pedro Strop pitched the ninth for his 10th save. The win keeps the Cub division lead at 2 games over St Louis. The Cubs are idle Monday and head to Philadelphia to open a three game series Tuesday night against the Phillies.
