CONFEDERATE RAILROAD AT LAWRENCE COUNTY FAIR

The Lawrence County Junior and 4-H Fair ends its week long run Saturday night with the band Confederate Railroad in concert in the grandstands. A beer garden will open on the grounds at 5:oo p.m. with an opening act scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and Confederate Railroad to follow. Confederate Railroad is an American country rock-Southern rock band that began in Marietta Georgia in 1987. They served as a backing band for David Allen Coe and Johnny Paycheck before signing with Atlantic records in 1987 and releasing a self-titled debut album. They have since released multiple albums and singles over the years including their most recent album  “Lucky to be Alive” in 2016. Tickets to the show will be available at the gate for $15 (general admission) and $25 (pit). The Legend 99.3 FM and AM 910 WAKO will be broadcasting from the fairgrounds located on US 50 between Bridgeport and Sumner prior to the concert.
