Corinne B. Bobe, 94, passed away at 3:41 pm on July 30, 2019 at Daviess Community Hospital. Corinne was born on April 19, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Irvin and Beatrice (Moravec) Pexa. She married Richard Divis on September 14, 1946 and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1965. She then married Jack Bobe on July 6, 1968 and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2004.
Corinne was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, IL. She owned and operated Chittick Optical Service initially with her husband Dr. Richard Divis then with her husband Jack Bobe for several years. Corinne enjoyed playing golf and bridge and enjoyed spending her winters in Vero Beach, FL. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and dancing.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Cardinal and her husband Mike of Sullivan, IL, Janet Wade and her husband Mark of Carmel, IN, Carol Quigley and her husband Curt of Doylestown, PA, Linda Gress and her husband Dan of Washington, IN, Becky Gray and her husband Todd of Bridgeport, IL; son, Steve Bobe and his wife Brenda of Lawrenceville, IL; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Dr. Richard Divis and second husband Jack Bobe.
Friends may visit with Corinne’s family on Monday, August 5, 2019 from noon until 2:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. Corinne’s funeral service will begin at the conclusion of visitation starting at 2:00 pm with Bro. Byron Holtsclaw officiating. Corinne will be laid to rest in Lawrenceville City Cemetery in Lawrenceville, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 117 NE 3rd Street Washington, IN 47501.
