The suspect in an armed robbery in Wabash County has been captured. Authorities say the suspect-a six foot tall African-American male in his mid-20s was taken into custody Tuesday evening after fleeing on foot from police on Illinois Route 1 near the Lawrence/Crawford County line. He is believed to have robbed the Verizon store in Mt Carmel and was tracked north through Lawrence County into Crawford County. He is also suspected of a similar robbery at a cellular phone location in Ohio. The name of the suspect and any charges filed in the case have not yet been released.
