The win salvaged the final game of the series and moved the Cubs back into a first place tie with St Louis in the National League Central Division. Victor Caratini also joined in with a three run blast. Brad Brach picked up the win in relief as starter Jose Quintana who only went 4 2/3 innings did not quailfy for the victory despite being given a seven run lead. With the loss the Brewers are one game back. Monday is a day off for the Cubs before they open a three game series with the Cardinals for first place at Busch Stadium Tuesday night.
