Roy Eugene Wilson, age 85 of Palestine, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. He was born in Lawrence County on December 14, 1933 to Ray Nickolas Wilson and his wife Lida Lucille (Allen) Wilson.
Roy worked as an oil field hand until he retired. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and all kinds of fast cars.
Surviving relatives include: his wife- Carolyn Wilson of Aperion Care in Bridgeport: two daughters- Barbara Wilson and Cathy Hulfachor and her husband Tom all of Lawrenceville: seven grandchildren: six great-grandchildren: six step-children: and several step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents- Ray and Lida Wilson: his first wife- Norma (Pinnick)Wilson: one son- Larry Wilson: two brothers: and one sister.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Billett Cemetery. Visitation will take place Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
