The Bi-State Authority which oversees the Mid-American Air Center northeast of Lawrenceville met in special session Tuesday in Vincennes. They approved the terms of a loan agreement for $90,000 to the Mid-American Pilots Association for the purchase of a airplane. It would be used for training and other purposes by the Association which was formed to promote aviation at the airport. The Authority also discussed water damages done to the airport terminal interior during the ongoing roof repair project. They will look to either turn the matter over to its insurance carrier or seek estimates to repair the damages on their own. A decision on a course of action is expected at their regular monthly August meeting.
