Judith Diane Holt, age 73 of Lawrenceville, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 unexpectedly at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 23, 1946 in Lawrenceville to Charles V. “Chub” Wood and his wife Ruth G. (Seaton) Wood.
On July 21, 2007, Judy married Carl Holt, Sr.
Judy was a long-time member of the Hi-Way Church of God and sang in a gospel band, Harvest Time. She loved her family and had a genuine heart.
Surviving family includes: her husband- Carl E. Holt, Sr. of Lawrenceville: one son- Charles Ramsey and wife Tracy of rural Robinson: one daughter- Kim Abbott and her husband Brad of Kenner, LA: one sister- Mary Kieffer and husband Al of Lawrenceville: one brother- David Wood of Flora: five grandchildren- Jackie Ramsey, Myra Ramsey, Steven Ramsey, Justin Cowles, and Alex Knotts: and one great-grandson- Corbin Knotts.
She was preceded in death by: her parents- Charles “Chub” and Ruth Wood: her son- Mark Ramsey: two sisters- Myra Lockhart and Evelyn Wepman: and one brother- Jack Wood.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Hi-Way Church of God near Lawrenceville. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place in May Chapel Cemetery. Cunningham-Young Funeral Home of Lawrenceville is handling the arrangements.
