Lawrenceville Police investigated a single vehicle accident Sunday evening around 8 p.m. at the Walmart location at 2610 West Haven Road. A 2001 Nissan being driven by Thomas Ford of rural Lawrenceville was backing from a handicapped parking space at the store when the vehicle was suddenly shifted into drive and it accellerated into a concrete pole. Ford and a passenger were not injured. The Ford vehicle did suffer enough damage to be towed from the accident scene. No tickets were issued.
