The National Weather Service issued a small stream flood advisory late Friday afternoon and early Friday evening for the entire Lite 103 and the Legend listening areas as a system of strong showers and thunderstorms rumbled through the region. The heavy rainfall did cause some small streams and creeks to overflow. The heavy rains and wet conditions also caused the postponement of the scheduled City of Lawrenceville fireworks display Friday night. They have been rescheduled for Sunday night at dusk at Lawrenceville High School. The weather also has affected the annual St Francisville Fish Fry and Fireworks Saturday. The fish fry is being held indoors at the St Francisville Firehouse. However, the fireworks display scheduled for Saturday evening at River Park has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
