Kris Bryant hit his 17th homer of the season and added three more hits and Willson Contreras drove in three runs Thursday to propel the Chicago Cubs to an 11-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the final game of their four game series at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. With the win the Cubs snapped a four game losing skid and took one of the four games. It also pulled the Cubs even with the Milwaukee Brewers for first place in the National League Central Division. The Cubs have a rare Friday night off. They will open a brief two game interleague series with the White Sox Saturday and Sunday at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago before the All-Star break.
