Betty Lou (Breece) Smith

glasser-dove

On July 1st, 2019, Betty Lou (Breece) Smith was called by our Savior to use her angelic musical talents in Heaven’s worship orchestra. Her many talents will be missed by those who loved her here on Earth.

She was a master of the piano, keyboard, organ, and accordion among others. She was impressively artistic in many other areas such as drawing, painting, crocheting, and keeping the dying arts of tatting and proper etiquette alive.

She was born November 22, 1922 in Adamsville, Cass County, Michigan. Her fondest years were spent married for 60 years to her late husband, Howard Eugene Smith. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Roselle Woofter Schwartz and Harold Fenton Breece, as well as her son, David Howard Smith, and a Great-Grandson, Dalton James Smith. Her surviving family includes her son, Phillip Smith and wife, Nancy, Grandson, Tim (Autumn) Smith & great-granddaughters Mila & Ava Smith, Granddaughter, Tamy (J.D.) Smith & great-granddaughters Amity, Avery & Anika Smith, as well as Grandson, David (Jeanette) Smith & great-granddaughter Elizabeth Smith.

A small, private remembrance ceremony will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, Betty Lou would ask that you pursue your artistic talents, volunteer for charitable causes, and never stop nurturing a close relationship with our Savior.
