Cheryl Ann Cunningham, age 62, of Vincennes, Indiana passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on January 13, 1957 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Roy E. Cunningham and Phyllis (Masengale) Cunningham.
Cheryl was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Botany. She retired from Vincennes University, where she was a Resident Hall Director. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church. Cheryl enjoyed her cats, and was an avid photographer. Most of all, she loved her nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include one sister, Theresa Hocking, and her husband Tim, of Mount Carmel, Illinois; one nephew, Philip Hocking, and his wife Lauren; one niece, Erin Ayers, and her husband Paul; three great-nephews, Isaac Hocking, Eli Hocking, Parker Ayers; and one great-niece, Cameryn Ayers.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, July 6th at 2: 00 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home for funeral expenses or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
