Jon Lester allowed one run in seven innings and the Chicago Cub offense came alive Monday afternoon as they beat the Los Angeles Angels in a rescheduled interleague contest at Wrigley Field 8-1. Coming off three straight losses in St Louis this past weekend in which they scored six runs total, the Cubs broke out with a five run bottom of the sixth inning to cement the game. Javier Baez had a homer and double to spur the offense and drove in three runs. The win was only the second in the last eight games for the Cubs. They remain at Wrigley to open up a three game set Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies of the National League West. Pitching matchup has Jeff Hoffman (1-1) going for the Rockies and Kyle Hendricks (5-4) for the Cubs.
