Lawrenceville High School student Genesis Campbell earned honorable mention in the 2019 Congressional Art Competition for the 15th District of Illinois. Campbell’s colored pencil drawing, “Man’s Best Friend,” will be displayed in 15th District Congressman John Shimkus’s offices in Maryville, Harrisburg, Danville and Effingham. Carmi-White County High School junior Isabelle Bryant won the competition with a pencil drawing of her grandfather titled “Pioneer Man.”
