SUAREZ LATE HOMER BEATS CUBS

Eugenio Suarez blasted a two run homer in the top of the ninth inning Friday to rally the Cincinnati Reds to a 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs in the first of their three game series at Wrigley Field. The winning blow came off of Cub reliever Steve Cishek. Joey Votto drew a leadoff walk from Cishek and then Suarez hit the next pitch deep to left center field for his 14th round-tripper. Yasiel Puig homered and drove in three for the Reds who handed the Cubs their second loss in a row. Anthony Rizzo homered for the third straight game and Kyle Schwarber and Kris Bryant also went deep for the Cubs but it was not enough.
