The Class A Boys state track and field meet got underway Thursday at O’Brien Stadium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. Red Hill High School senior Drew Moore was in the field for the state long jump. In his preliminary flight, Moore was 3rd with a leap of 21 feet 3 inches. However that was not good enough to advance and qualify for the final. The state meet wraps up Saturday.
